What does Functional Maths mean?

Welcome to study maths with functional methods. In this training, you will learn to understand math and learn to bring math close to your own learners by offering them a variety of math experiences.

The training includes modules from which you can choose the most suitable for you. The training modules consist of video lectures, thematic articles, functional tasks and task game boards. The best benefits of training are when you boldly dive into the world of math to try and do.

At the same time, you will find your own way of teaching. The education relies heavily on the contents of the Finnish National Board of Education’s curriculum.

I believe that a teacher should master several different theories and trends in teaching and then choose the most suitable ones for the learner. The theorists on whose teachings this education is based are Lev Vygotsky, Piotr Calperin, Jean PIaget, Jerome Bruner, Zoltán Dienes, Johan Amos Comenius, Maria Montessori, Urie Brofenbrenner and George Pólya.

In the following videos you will hear about functional mathematics. You can also read the article on a functional way of learning. There is also a video where I tell about my studies and work history.

As an educator, I believe in interaction in learning. This training opens up new ways for the teacher to see, realize and learn. Through new skills, the teacher is better able to consider different learners in their class and support their strengths.
